چکیده

A bare AISI420J2 punch often suffers from severe adhesion of metallic titanium as well oxide debris particles in dry, cold forging biomedical alloys. This was plasma-carburized at 673 K for 14.4 ks to harden it up 1200 HV on average and achieve carbon supersaturation the carburized layer. employed cold, dry a pure wire into flat plate while reducing thickness by 70%. The contact interface width approached forged workpiece with increasing reduction ratio. smaller bulging deformation reveals that is upset homogeneous plastic flow lower friction coefficient. low-friction anti-galling process sustained an situ solid lubrication mechanism. Unbound free isolated carbon-supersaturated matrix deposited thin tribofilm protect mass transfer titanium.
